Course Description:
The course will be an introduction to the field of digital forensics as it relates to business. Lecture topics to include introduction to digital forensics and e-discovery, current laws related to business data and networks, including compliance and reporting requirements, basics of file system, digital device and network forensics, cyber-security issues, business policies and procedures. This course is designed for information system students, business students and business managers.
Course Goals:
Students will gain an understanding of the field of digital forensics, e-discovery and cyber law. After the semester, students will have the base knowledge for additional digital forensic and cyber-security courses. They will be able to apply this knowledge in business information systems management, policies, and decision making.
