    President and Principal Broker of Napier ERA in Richmond, Virginia. Napier ERA is celebrating over 57 years of serving real estate needs of buyers and sellers in the Richmond and Central Virginia area. Napier ERA remains a family owned business, committed to family values and betterment of the metro Richmond community.

    Jim has been active in real estate for over 40 years. During that time, he has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Association of Realtors, served three terms as a Director of the Richmond Association of Realtors and as its President. He also serves as a member of the national advisory councils of Cartus Mobolity and ERA Franchise Systems.

    Napier ERA holds the honor of being a recipient of ERA Real Estate's Gene Francis Memorial Award, the Cartus Mobility, ERA inaugural Circle of Light Award and ERA's innovation Award.

    Jim is currently involved in rezoning to repurpose a regional mall as well as a number of economic development opportunities for commercial/industrial and multi-use developments.
     
    Ricky Core

    Richard “Ricky” Core, Jr. is the President and a Principal of Markel|Eagle Partners and a member of the company’s Investment Advisory Committee. He is responsible for the firm’s management and operations, including acquisitions, financing, asset management, and investor relations. Additionally, Mr. Core serves as the Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of The Eagle Companies.

    An original member of the Manager at its inception, Mr. Core has been involved in every investment and development made by the Manager. Mr. Core’s experience includes include the capitalization, investment, and development of real estate with a total value exceeding $1.0 billion.

    Mr. Core received his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration and both a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Villanova University. As a member of the community, Mr. Core serves on the nonprofit board of Richmond-based Feed More.
     
    Susan Dewey
    Virginia Housing


    Susan F. Dewey is the Chief Executive Officer of the Virginia Housing Development Authority (Virginia Housing). The Board of Commissioners of Virginia Housing appointed her to this position, effective June 15, 1999. Prior to this, Susan served for three years as a Virginia Housing Commissioner. Susan directs all operations of Virginia Housing, a multibillion-dollar, self-supporting public-private partnership that is responsible for addressing the statewide housing affordability needs of low and moderate-income Virginians.

    Susan currently serves on: the Board of the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development; the Virginia Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Local Advisory Committee; the Board of Housing Virginia (Past President); the Virginia Commonwealth University Real Estate Circle of Excellence (Past President and Conference Committee); the Board of the Virginia Council on Economic Education (Past Chairman, Program Committee Chair; Development Committee member); the Venture Richmond Board of Trustees; the William and Mary Real Estate Foundation Board; the National Housing Conference (NHC) National Advisory Council; the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) (Past President, Board of Directors, and Task Force on Homeownership), and member of the Virginia Chamber Foundation Advisory Board and Virginia Chamber Board of Directors.

    Susan is a C.P.A. and received a B.B.A and M.B.A. from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
     
    Laura Lafayette
    Richmond Association of Realtors


    Laura Lafayette is the Chief Executive Officer of the Richmond Association of REALTORS® and the Central Virginia Regional Multiple Listing Service—two organizations that serve the over 6,000 REALTORS® in Central Virginia. In that capacity, she also serves as the Executive Director of the Association’s nonprofit, the Partnership for Housing Affordability.

    Within the broader community, Laura serves as a gubernatorial appointee to the Virginia Housing Commission; is the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Housing Forward Virginia; is the founding Chair of the Board of the Maggie L. Walker Community Land Trust; is the Immediate Past Chair of Homeward, and serves on the Board of the Peter Paul Development Center as well as the Local Advisory Committee of Virginia LISC.

    Laura received her BA in Religion from the College of William and Mary; and pursued post-graduate work at both Yale Divinity School and the University of Virginia.
     
    Lisa Sturtevant
    Virginia Realtors


    Dr. Sturtevant is currently the Chief Economist for the Virginia REALTORS©. Dr. Sturtevant has been involved in research and analysis on local economic, demographic, and housing market conditions and local housing solutions for more than 15 years.

    Lisa served as Vice President for Research for the National Housing Conference (NHC) between 2013 and 2016 where she oversaw the organization’s research and local outreach. Prior to NHC, Lisa served as Deputy Director of the Center for Regional Analysis and Associate Research Professor at the George Mason University School of Public Policy. She worked from 2000 to 2005 in the Arlington County, Virginia Department of Community Planning, Housing and Development.

    Lisa completed her PhD in public policy from George Mason University in May 2006. She received her master’s degree in public policy from the University of Maryland and a BS in mathematical economics from Wake Forest University.
