    Strategic Sourcing

    The course covers the fundamentals associated with the procurement and strategic sourcing processes that facilitate the structure, creation and management of value-added transactions and relationships between supplier and customer organizations in a channel, supply chain and integrated value system context. Students will address topics associated with identifying, selection, evaluating, and improving suppliers as well as the overall management process including negotiations and contract creation.  A major emphasis will also be placed on the role the procurement function has in impacting emerging business strategies (e.g., enhancing sustainability performance).
