About the VCU School of Business

Since its founding in 1937, the VCU School of Business has forged strong ties with the business community in Richmond, central Virginia and beyond.

Guided by the theme of “Unlimited Opportunity Creation,” the school has embarked on an ambitious strategic journey, Opportunity 2030, which aims to build a thriving, inclusive community where students and alumni can recognize and create opportunities throughout their lives. By exposing students to the possibilities of a business education, fostering innovative research and maintaining close ties with alumni and industry partners, the school positions its students as catalysts for opportunity creation.

The school enrolls approximately 4,000 students across bachelor’s, master’s, certificate and doctoral programs. It is home to renowned affiliated academic units, such as the VCU Brandcenter and the Center for Sport Leadership, as well as the cross-disciplinary da Vinci Center for Innovation.

Accredited by AACSB International in both business and accounting, the school is among the top 5% of business schools worldwide.
