Eric Cevis
President, Verizon Partner Solutions
After graduating from George Mason University in 1986 and continuing on to the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, Eric was recruited for a job at Bell Atlantic as a Staff Supervisor for the Government and Federal Systems Division.
He then went on to lead a fulfilling career that has included several influential roles at Verizon Communications Inc., holding Vice President positions for Verizon’s Enterprise Solutions Group, Broadband Solutions Group, Retail Markets Group and others. His professional accomplishments include time focusing on a range of applications including the introduction of value-added services such as gaming, movies and music and the DSL product line for Verizon business and wholesale customers.
Eric also spent time as Vice President of Enhanced Communities where he was responsible for the delivery of bundled communications services to entire communities including single family, student, military and affordable housing.
In 2014 he moved to Verizon Partner Solutions where he is the current Group President. There, he continues to grow a $5 billion dollar domestic and international wholesale business while leading full P&L for thousands of employees under his direction across the Global Wholesale industry.
And, to top it all, Eric continues his service through councils and boards including the VCU School of Business Board with recognitions as one of the "Power 100" in Global Telecoms Business magazine in 2014, in 2016 he was recognized as 'Prominent Patriot' by his alma mater and in 2018 Savoy Magazine recognized him as one of the "Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America.”
